Job Title: Marketing Automation and CRM Specialist
Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid position, must live locally.
Job Summary:
The Marketing Automation and CRM Specialist is responsible for leading the design, execution, and optimization of complex automated marketing programs across email, SMS, push, in-app, and website retargeting channels. This role provides oversight of CRM/Synapsys integration and data workflows, ensuring seamless campaign delivery, enhanced member engagement, and measurable business results.
The specialist acts as a subject matter expert in marketing automation, guides best practices, develops advanced segmentation and personalization strategies, and delivers insights to influence marketing strategy and digital growth initiatives. This role also provides support for website and intranet initiatives, ensuring alignment across digital channels to enhance engagement, efficiency, and drives conversion results.
As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:
(45%) Results-driven Marketing Automation & Multi-Channel Campaign Management
- Leads the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel automated campaigns targeting new members, cross-sell, and retention initiatives by configuring workflows, monitoring performance, and applying best practices to increase member engagement and conversion rates.
- Designs advanced automation workflows, personalization, and trigger campaigns to maximize engagement, conversions, and return on investment.
- Applies financial industry best practices in A/B testing, deliverability, segmentation, and multi-channel orchestration.
- Monitors KPIs, including open rates, click-through, conversions, funnel progression, and ROI to maximize results.
(20%) CRM/Synapsys Oversight & Data Strategy
- Manages CRM/Synapsys marketing integration, ensuring accurate member data, segmentation, and workflow execution supporting campaigns.
- Drives and oversees CRM marketing strategy to support frontline cross-sale efforts to meet business goals, improve campaign efficiency and reporting.
(20%) Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Analyzes campaign results and member data by generating reports and insights to inform future marketing strategies and improve automation effectiveness.
- Develops dashboards, executive summaries, and actionable insights to inform strategy, optimize workflows, and support growth.
- Recommends and implement continuous improvements to automation processes, segmentation strategies, and campaign performance.
(15%) Website, Intranet & Partner Platform Support
- Provides guidance and backup support for website and intranet development by assisting with updates, troubleshooting, and content management to maintain digital platforms and support marketing initiatives.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement new functionality, integration, and enhancements.
- Ensures digital channels maintain brand consistency, usability, compliance, and alignment with marketing objectives.

Experience:
- Three years of experience in marketing automation, CRM management, or a related field
- Experience with financial services or credit union marketing preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, information systems, communications, or a related area; or four years of additional experience in lieu of degree
- Advanced coursework or certification in marketing automation, CRM, or related discipline preferred
