Job Title: Core Product Manager

Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid position, must live locally.

Job Summary:

The Core Product Manager manages a set of Jack Henry products throughout their lifecycle, from understanding user needs to guiding improvements and overseeing ongoing support. This role works closely with business partners, IT leadership, and technical teams to make sure each product delivers real value, runs efficiently, and supports broader organizational goals. The manager acts as the go‑to owner for assigned core applications, handling activities like gathering new requests, evaluating priorities, and deciding what goes on the product roadmap. The role translates business needs into clear requirements, weighs technical limitations and team capacity, and ensures product updates are delivered successfully.

As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:

  • (25%) Own and maintain the product vision and roadmap for assigned core products and platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, business priorities, and technology direction.

  • (20%) Partner with business stakeholders and IT leaders to gather requirements, evaluate opportunities, and translate needs into clearly defined, prioritized core initiatives and outcomes.

  • (20%) Manage multiple projects and product initiatives, leading readiness intake, prioritization, and sequencing of enhancements while balancing value, risk, technical dependencies, and delivery capacity across the IT product portfolio.

  • (20%) Own and govern the IT technical library, maintaining standardized, up‑to‑date product technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and core reference materials for powerons, tracking records, warning codes, and core mapping tables.

  • (15%) Serve as the primary product partner across Core and Business Applications, Automation, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams, ensuring roadmap priorities are translated into well‑defined, technically feasible initiatives aligned with release and change management processes.

Experience:

  • Five years of experience in product management, project management, systems analyst, or a related IT role
  • Understanding of core systems, dependencies, and integrations across Jack Henry product suite: Symitar, Synergy, Synapsys, Enterprise Workflow, and Xperience platform.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Working knowledge of core system configurations, integrations, and application support
  • Demonstrated experience owning or contributing to product or platform roadmaps

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, management, or a related field; or four additional years of experience in lieu of degree
